After a good breakfast we drove about 1/2 hour to the South Rim Visitors Center. We hiked asking the rim trail, took a shuttle to some of the vistas, and spent the day oohing and ahhing. The vastness of what we saw was amazing - of course photos don't do justice.
At the end of the day some of us we'd down a couple switchbacks on the Bright Angel Trail, just to say we went down a ways into the Canyon.

We lunched along the trail.
We were fortunate to get reservations for dinner at the historic El Torvar Inn. After that we raced to a good lookout point to watch the sunset. Unfortunately haze, a lack of clouds, an obstructed view made the view a bit disappointing.
Back at the ranch, we watched stars compete with the full moon, and then to bed.
Trying to capture that majesty is so frustrating!! But aren't you glad you all got to see it?! So happy for you all!
